The jade bird has round eyes, a sharp beak, and a four-pointed star pattern on its neck. Its wings are folded on both sides of its body, and there are double-negative line oblique knife-carved feather patterns. Its long tail swings to the right, and the tail feathers are decorated with symmetrical double-negative line decorative patterns.
There are a series of holes punched into the bird for hanging.
