Back engraved with inscription jade head-B
This human head accessory belongs to the late Shang Dynasty style. The front is slightly arched and has a human face. It has huge eyes carved with double negative lines in the shape of a date core, a three-dimensional bulbous nose, a square mouth, exposed teeth, and a pair of fangs. The ears are exaggeratedly extended to both sides, and there are holes in the earlobes. There is a crown on the head with decorative patterns carved with fine negative lines. The back is flat and has a four-character oracle bone inscription. The jade head has holes from top to bottom, which can be used for wearing. The holes in the ear holes can also be used to sew on clothes.
The jade is covered with red, orange, yellow, and black colors, with intertwined lines. Under the light, fine vein-like lines can be seen seeping into the inside. The surface is polished and smooth, and the corners have obvious traces of use and bumps left by wearing.
