The jade jar is slightly oblate. It is dark green in color, with mottled dark brown skin and white crystalline attachments on the surface. When observed through the light, the black patina and patina have penetrated deep into the jade. The front and back of the jade jar are engraved with abstract fish patterns in the shape of a grid. The inside of the jar is waxy and smooth, with obvious traces of drilling, hollowing and polishing.
