The jade is off-white, with large brown-black stains of varying shades on one side, translucent, plain, and finely polished with a glassy sheen. The tooth wall is flat and round, with a circular hole in the center and three sawtooth ridges of the same shape and direction on the outer edge, and eight teeth are carved between the ridges. In the early years, many scholars believed that this jade disk with teeth was an astronomical instrument and called it "Xuan Ji", but this view is no longer accepted by people.
