The jade is yellow-green in color, with mottled dark brown stains seeping into the jade. It is round inside and square outside, with large round holes on the top and bottom. It is higher than the square body, and the shape is the same from top to bottom. There are inscriptions on all four sides, with twelve characters on each side, for a total of 48 characters. The outside and the inside of the hole are polished and clean.
