A Tang Dynasty Gilded and Painted Hetian White Jade Lady
A Tang Dynasty Gilded and Painted Hetian White Jade Lady
This round sculpture of a lady is made of fine Hetian white jade. It is gilded and painted. Some of the paint has peeled off, revealing the jade. The paint and gilding are bright in color but covered with rust stains. The face, neck, and feet of the lady reveal the original color of the jade.
She has a classic Tang Dynasty female bun, with black painted hair and gold-gilded ornaments. The lady is wearing a red dress and a green skirt, both with gold-gilded edges. The Ruyi Yuanbao in her hand also reveals its white jade color.
Judging from her facial features and figure, the lady is plump but not bloated, and has a dignified, gentle, graceful and youthful beauty. She is slightly tilted to the left, her face is round and full, lifelike, her eyes are bright, and her red lips are smiling. Although it has been thousands of years, she is still radiant.
It fully demonstrates the charm of the beauties of the Tang Dynasty.
