Bulging Eyes Deer Jade Zhen
Bulging Eyes Deer Jade Zhen
Tianlu, also known as Tianlu, is a auspicious animal that looks like a deer, has a long tail and two horns.
The surface of this jade carving of a celestial deer has a brown misty patina. The eyes are bulging and the mouth is open, with round holes drilled in the mouth to represent teeth. The antlers extend upwards, close to the back of the neck, and each has three hooks. The deer head and neck are downward, the body is slender, and there are muscular bulges. The deer tail is rolled back, thick and powerful, and there is a pair of holes at the end of the tail that can be used to tie a rope. The limbs are upright and bent forward.
The whole body is carved with double oblique lines, hook patterns, cirrus patterns, and oval patterns to show auspiciousness, mystery, and nobility.
This jade carving work is skillfully carved, with high craftsmanship, smooth lines, and exaggerated yet harmonious shapes.
